Legal Observer Training December 2nd

National Lawyers Guild legal observers are a crucial factor in defending protesters against police repression. They observe and document police conduct at actions to create an objective record of events, in order to assist the defense of protesters in court and provide evidence in civil suits. Here in Pittsburgh LOs’ numbers are dwindling, even as the rise of Trump and the increased willingness of police to arrest protesters make their role more important than ever.

Accordingly the Pittsburgh chapter of the NLG is holding a training for new legal observers on Saturday, December 2 at 2:00 PM at Pitt Law School’s Barco Building in room 107, open to anyone except law enforcement agents. You do NOT have to be a lawyer! Snacks will be provided, but please bring your own notebook and pen.
